💬 “Tastes like rice got kissed by a campfire.”
🍚 Ingredients:
• 1.5 cups long-grain white rice (like basmati)
• 3 cups water
• 1 tbsp Gary’s Adobo Paste
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tbsp neutral oil (rapeseed or veg)
🧰 Utensils:
• Medium saucepan with lid
• Wooden spoon
• Measuring cups
• Sieve
👨🍳 Method:
1. Rinse rice in cold water until the water runs clear. (No starch = fluffy rice)
2. In the pot, add oil and Adobo Paste. Sauté on low for 1 minute (wake it up).
3. Add the rinsed rice and salt. Stir for 1 more minute so rice gets coated.
4. Pour in 3 cups of water.
5. Bring to boil, then cover and reduce to very low simmer. Set timer: 12 minutes.
6. Turn off the heat. Let it sit, lid on, for 5 minutes.
7. Fluff with a fork. Boom.
